Clomiphene Citrate is a nonsteroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It is widely used as an ovulation-inducing agent in women with infertility caused by anovulation or oligo-ovulation, such as in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Clomiphene Citrate is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that works by binding to estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, blocking estrogen’s negative feedback. This stimulates the hypothalamus to release gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which in turn increases FSH and LH secretion from the pituitary, promoting follicular growth and triggering ovulation in women with anovulatory or oligo-ovulatory infertility.
