Permethrin is a broad-spectrum synthetic pyrethroid widely used for controlling insects in pharmaceutical, veterinary, agricultural, and public health applications as a technical-grade insecticide, it is used for mosquito control, agriculture pest management, poultry applications, and household insect control.
Permethrin kills insects by disrupting sodium channel function in nerve cell membranes, prolonging nerve excitation, causing paralysis and death of insects. It is effective against mites, lice, ticks, flies, mosquitoes, and agricultural pests.
