Product Description

Trastuzumab is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that selectively targets the HER2 receptor, which is overexpressed in certain aggressive cancers. By binding to the extracellular domain of HER2, Trastuzumab inhibits tumor cell proliferation and mediates immune dependent cytotoxicity.

How Trastuzumab Works

Trastuzumab binds specifically to the HER2 receptor on tumor cells, blocking HER2 mediated signaling pathways involved in cell growth and survival. It also induces antibody dependent cell mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), leading to immune driven destruction of HER2 positive cancer cells.
