Trypsin is a serine protease enzyme (typically porcine-derived) used in pharma, biotech, and industrial applications. It hydrolyzes peptide bonds, supporting wound debridement, anti-inflammatory formulations, cell dissociation, digestive blends, and protein processing.
Cleaves peptide chains on the carboxyl side of lysine and arginine residues, enabling breakdown of damaged proteins, removal of necrotic tissue, improved wound healing, and reduced inflammation; in cell culture, it dissociates adherent cells by digesting extracellular matrix proteins.
